About :André Caplet (1878-1925) was a French composer and conductor. His work is principally comprised of lyrical pieces. His Rêverie and Petite valse were composed in 1897. In 1901, he won the Prix de Rome, ahead of Maurice Ravel. In 1914, then the conductor of the Paris Opera orchestra, he enlisted to fight in World War I.
