About :Carl Ditters (1739-1799), later known as “von Dittersdorf”, was a Viennese violinist and composer, contemporary of Mozart and Haydn with whom he performed a few quartets. He was famous for his operas and his religious music. As a prolific composer, he wrote about 120 symphonies (mostly “program symphonies”) and around 50 concertos.
