About :Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) was a Norwegian composer and pianist. After discovering the native folklore and peasant dances of his country in 1863, he became a lifelong champion of national musical identity. "Solveig's Song" is an excerpt from the incidental music he composed for the Henrik Ibsen play Peer Gynt in 1867.
