About :The Messiah is the most famous masterpiece by Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759). This oratorio was created in 1742 in Dublin, based on a libretto compiled by Charles Jennens, and relates the whole story of Jesus' destiny. The recitative " Comfort ye my people " and the tenor's aria " Ev'ry valley shall be exalted " which open the first part of the work, after the instrumental introduction, announce the consolation of Israel and the coming of Christ.
