About :Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868) was an Italian composer and one of the greatest composers of the 19th century. His name is mostly associated with opera as his most famous works include The Barber of Seville, La Cenerentola (based on Cinderella), The Thieving Magpie, The Italian in Algiers, The Turk in Italy and William Tell. He also left works of sacred music, including a Stabat Mater and a Petite messe solennelle composed in his last years.
