About :Claude Paul Taffanel (1844 - 1908) is considered as the founder of the French flute style. He played an active role in the development of the instrument as a performer and composer. From an early age, he was a gifted musician and won his first prize in a performance competition at the age of 16, and then pursued a solo career for 30 years. He belonged to a generation of musicians who sought to promote a national style in music, thus Taffanel was an ardent supporter of the French musical style.
