About : "Happy Birthday to You" is a song traditionally sung to celebrate one's birthday. The lyrics have been translated in at least 18 languages. The tune comes from the children's song "Good Morning to All", composed in 1893 by two American sisters, Patty and Mildred Hill. Both of them were teachers at the Little Loomhouse school in Louisville. They composed "Good Morning to All" so that it would be an easy song to sing for children. The first written testimony of the link between the tune and "Happy Birthday" dates back to 1912.
