About : Agustín Barrios Mangoré (1885-1944) is a virtuoso guitarist and Paraguayan composer, who wrote over three hundred works. He is well known in South America and has also toured in Europe. He made recordings at the turn of the 20th century, some of which are the only traces of his works. The Choro (which means "cry" or "lament"), also called Chorinho (little cry), is a style of popular instrumental Brazilian music created in the 19th century.
