The Concertino for flute and orchestra in D major, Op. 107, was composed in 1902 by Cécile Chaminade (1857-1944) as a competition piece for the flute students of the Paris Conservatory. The piece is very famous and remains a popular standard of flute repertoire. It is dedicated to the flutist and professor Paul Taffanel.
