Michel Corette (1707-1795) was a French organist and composer. Although he used to be a trendy musician (he composed and conducted several vaudevilles in Paris), most of his works have been lost. “Les Délices de la Solitude” (The Sweetness of Solitude) is a series of sonatas for cello and bass, composed in 1766.
