Josquin des Prés (1440-1521), aoften referred to as Josquin, was a French composer. He was nicknamed "The Prince of Music" and was the most important musician of the Franco-Flemish school at the end of the 15th century. Considered as the greatest master of polyphony in the early Renaissance, he left a repertoire of over a hundred pieces.
