About : Alexandre Guilmant (1837-1911) was a French organist and composer. Like César Franck, he was a driving force in the renaissance of French organ music at the end of the 19th century. His Symphonic Piece, Op. 88, was written in 1902 for the competition of the Paris Conservatory. It is dedicated to Théodore Dubois.
