About :"Ariodante" is the second of three operas by Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759). It is a love tragedy in which human passions are unleashed, inspired by Ariosto's "Orlando Furioso" and composed in 1734 on an anonymous libretto after Antonio Salvi. In his last aria "Dopo notte" (Act III, scene 9), Ariodante announces a happy ending in an outburst of joy and vocal virtuosity.
