About :The sinfonia for the arrival of the Queen of Sheba that opens the third and final act of the oratorio Solomon, HWV 67, is one of the most famous pieces by Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759). The English-language oratorio was composed to an anonymous libretto based on the Bible and premiered in London in 1749, seven years after the Messiah. The sinfonia for two Oboes, strings and continuo, like the royal characters, is energetic, blazing and noble.
