Les Voix Animées, Luc Coadou
Roland de Lassus (1532-1594) is one of the most prolific and versatile composers of the late Renaissance Franco-Flemish school. He composed over 2000 vocal works in all genres and in four different languages - Latin, French, Italian and German. However there's no evidence that he has composed instrumental music, which is all the more interesting considering that he was an ambitious and prolific composer living at a time when instrumental music has became important all throughout Europe.
