About :Cornélis Joseph Liégeois (1860-1921) was a Belgian cellist and composer, who became a French citizen. He was a virtuoso and was a soloist at the Concerts Lamoureux in Paris. In addition to composing a string quartet and pieces for one or more Cellos, he is also the author of a Cello methodology book. Romance No.1 is the first piece of his pedagogical collection '15 easy and progressive pieces'.
