About :Mozart (1756-1791) composed his only Clarinet concerto a few months before his death, having discovered the existence of the instrument late in life, during a concert in Manheim. Amazed by the sound of the Clarinet, he wrote some of the finest works of its repertoire in a short space of time, including the famous Clarinet Quintet. Mozart's concerto is the most frequently performed of all the concertos written for the instrument.
