Arthur Pryor (1869-1942) was an American trombone virtuoso who was recognized by his contemporaries for his talent as a music player. He also left a remarkable musical legacy, with more than 300 pieces composed during his career, notably for brass bands and for trombone. Blue Bells of Scotland is one of these pieces; it enables the player to explore the full musical potential of the instrument.
