NomadPlay is an innovative music platform that allows you to play virtually alongside prestigious musicians and musical ensembles. With NomadPlay, you can mute any instrument in a recording and take the place of the original musician with the accompaniment of the other performers.
- Who is NomadPlay aimed at?
NomadPlay is aimed at all musicians, regardless of whether they are beginners or professionals.
- How can NomadPlay help my instrumental practice?
NomadPlay gives you the opportunity to play alongside renowned performers, to develop your listening skills and to improve your performance of classical and jazz pieces.
If you are part of an orchestra or a choir, NomadPlay can help you better prepare for your rehearsals.
- What is the technology developed by NomadPlay?
The product of five years of research, NomadPlay relies on an innovative algorithm that allows the separation of audio content. Artificial intelligence enables this algorithm to be used to isolate any instrument in a live or studio recording.
- Where do the recordings on NomadPlay come from?
Our recordings are all created with real musicians – no MIDI audio is used. They may be:
Tracks provided by labels, publishers or signed artists
Productions or co-productions recorded by our teams in a studio or during live concerts
- Which music genres can I find on NomadPlay?
Currently, our catalogue mainly offers “classical” pieces created between the 15th and 21st centuries.
You will also find jazz standards and pedagogical pieces.
- I am a beginner musician – can I use NomadPlay?
Everyone should be able to benefit from the joy of music, so NomadPlay also offers pieces suitable for beginners!
- I am a teacher – how can I use NomadPlay to support my students?

- Can I submit suggestions for pieces to be included in the catalogue?
Of course! Don't hesitate to send us your suggestions at email@example.com. Our Artistic Manager will make every effort to include them in our production schedule.
- Which devices can I use with NomadPlay?
Smartphones, tablets, PCs, Macs, even Smart TVs – our platform is available to you whichever device you’re using! Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit www.nomadplay.app/home.
- How do I subscribe?
To subscribe, click here to log in or create an account, then complete the payment process for your premium subscription. You will receive the first 15 days free of charge – after that, your monthly subscription will be renewed automatically and you will be billed each month.
You may cancel your subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current month. To find out more about cancelling your subscription, see “How do I cancel my subscription?”
- How can I access a piece?
Once you have signed up (free of charge), you have two options available to you:
1. You can buy pieces individually (pieces range from €2.99 to €19.99, including tax) and only pay for the pieces that you wish to play.
2. You can subscribe to gain unlimited access to NomadPlay’s entire catalogue.
- Why should I choose a premium subscription?
Our premium subscription allows you to benefit from unlimited access to our entire catalogue, which is ideal if you want or need to play different pieces!
You will also have access to all new additions to the catalogue at no extra charge as soon as they are included.
- I’ve received a code – how do I use it?
You can enter your promotional code directly on our website by clicking here.
- How do I change my password?
To change your password, log in to www.nomadplay.app, then enter your new password in the profile menu at the top right (“Details” tab).
Have you forgotten your password? On the login screen, select “Forgotten password” and enter your email address so that you can be sent an email to reset your password. You should then follow the instructions you receive by email.
- Can I change the email address linked to my account?
Your email address is also your account ID, so it is not possible to change it at this time.
- How do I update my payment method?
Did you subscribe via our website? If so, log in at www.nomadplay.app, then go to the “Subscription” tab in the profile menu.
Did you subscribe directly via our app? In this case, you can manage your payment method directly through the App Store or Google Play.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel your NomadPlay subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current month. Use the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed directly through our app, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- How do I find a piece that is suitable for me?
In the app, go to the “Search” tab, then select the filter icon to the right of the search bar. This is the quickest way to find pieces in our catalogue that are of interest to you. It is possible to search by instrument, skill level, composer and even performer.
Note: You can also apply filters when you have already entered keywords into the search bar.
- How do I mute an instrument or vocal track?
On the sheet music screen, you can enable or mute an instrument track as required by clicking on its icon in the reader bar below the sheet music. A cross through the instrument means that the track has been muted.
If you wish to change the muted instrument, select a different instrument in the list under the title of the piece. The sheet music will change automatically.
- Can I mute several instruments/vocal tracks?
Currently, it is only possible to mute a single instrument or vocal track.
- Can I listen to a piece without muting an instrument?
Yes! You can re-enable your instrument at any time by clicking on the icon at the bottom left of the sheet music screen. If your instrument does not have a cross through it, this means that the audio track has been enabled.
This allows you to practise “alongside” the musician before you replace them by muting the instrumental or vocal track once you feel more comfortable doing so.
- How do I create a loop?
On the sheet music screen, select “Loop” in the toolbar. Select the start bar and end bar, then start the music by clicking on “Play”.
The marked section will repeatedly loop automatically to enable you to work on the section you want.
When you no longer want to work on a looped section, click on the “Loop” icon again.
- How do I skip to a certain bar in the piece?
All you need to do is click directly on the bar you want. If the bar is a reprise, you will also need to specify where in the performance you wish to start from. To start, click on “Play”.
- How do I adjust the tempo to my pace?
You can speed up or slow down the tempo of the recording as required by selecting the “Tempo” function in the toolbar. This function does not affect the sound quality of the recording and allows you to rehearse at your own pace.
- How do I save my annotations?
When you enter annotations for a piece of music using the “Annotate” tool in the app, your annotations will be saved automatically as you enter them.
The next time you open your sheet music, you will see your annotations straight away, regardless of whether you log in through the app or through our website.
- How do I adjust the countdown at the start of pieces?
On the sheet music screen, go to the “Settings” menu at the top right. Here, you can replace the audible countdown with a visual countdown, modify the length, or disable it entirely by deselecting it.
- How do I add a piece to my favourites?
To add a title to your favourites, select the heart on the page of the piece. A solid heart means that the piece has been added to your favourites and can be accessed from the “My Titles” menu.
- How do I access sheet music while offline?
The “Download” function allows you to make use of your pieces even if you are not connected to the internet. Once downloaded, they will be accessible in the “My Titles” menu.
Note: To be able to download a piece, you first need to have subscribed or to have purchased the piece. If you cancel your subscription, downloaded titles will no longer be available in your account.
- How can I download a piece?
If you have subscribed or have purchased a piece, you can download a piece by opening it, then clicking on “Download”. This function allows you to access your pieces even without an internet connection. If you are connected to the internet, you do not need to download pieces to play them.
Once downloaded, they remain accessible in the “My Titles” menu.
Note: This option is only available in the smartphone and tablet app.
- Can I print sheet music?
For licensing reasons, it is not possible to print our sheet music at this time.
- Can I transpose a piece of sheet music?
We are currently working on developing this feature.
- How can I listen to NomadPlay through my speakers?
To make the most of our recordings, simply connect your device to your speakers – the audio output should be transmitted automatically.
- The piece that I’ve purchased doesn’t appear in my purchases? What should I do?
First, check that you are logged into the same account that you used to make your purchase. If you still cannot see it, please send the relevant invoice to email@example.com. We will look into your enquiry as quickly as possible so that you can make use of your purchase.
- The cursor is not in time with the audio. What should I do?
Depending on your audio configuration, the bar on the sheet music may not be in time with the recording. In this case, please adjust the latency in the “Settings” menu at the top right of the sheet music.
- Will I still have access to my pieces if I use NomadPlay on different devices?
Of course! All you need to do is log in to the same NomadPlay account. If you encounter any problems – even minor ones – please do not hesitate to write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- I can’t log in to my account. What should I do?
If you could not successfully reset your password, check that you are not logged in via a Google, Facebook or Apple account. If you are a subscriber or have purchased a piece, the email address linked to your account should be quoted on your invoices.
