About :Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 27 concertos for Piano and orchestra were written between 1767 and 1791. They are must-play repertoire for all pianists and are among Mozart's most frequently recorded works. The Piano Concerto No.9 in E-flat major K. 271, was written in Salzburg in 1777, when Mozart was 21. The work is known as the 'Jeunehomme' Concerto because Mozart allegedly wrote it for a French pianist in Salzburg bearing that surname, and whose identity long remained a mystery to music historians.
